How to help

  • Dr. Brill-Edwards is a paediatrician and an authority on the application of Canada's Food and Drugs Act to protect the public from health hazards and fraud in research and treatment involving prescription drugs.

  • Dr Brill-Edwards spent 15 years with Canada's Health protection Branch and was senior physician responsible for the regulation of prescription drugs from 1988 to1992. Aware of repeated irregularities within the drug approval process, jeopardizing lives to bow to political and industry pressures, Dr. Brill-Edwards resigned from the Health Protection Branch in January 1996. Her public disclosure of the deficiencies of the drug regulatory process has focused new attention on Canada's systems for protecting the public on food, drug and blood safety issues.

  • Dr. Brill-Edwards is now in private consulting practice in Ottawa and Toronto.
